This is my second time visiting this place and have always craved for their charbroiled oysters. The oysters were a little smaller at this time (dependent on the season) but the charbroiled flavor was consistently rich & tasty. We also had their red beans & rice and liked it. We had a friendly waiter and service was fast.
MoreService was splendid they moved very quickly to serve my fiance' and I needs!!! The food was so delicious and hot!!! We really enjoyed ourselves!!! Next time we will bring the kids!!! Love this place!!!!

Ask for the server Rae - Jesus really blessed us with her. The food was on time, no long wait. The building is huge with many tables so dont let the packed parking lot scare you. For an appetizer, i got their Charbroiled Oysters and WOW! Hands down, the Best Oysters I've ever had. If you try it them and disagree, I'll even cash app you and pay your oysters . For an entree, i wanted to try the Seafood Pasta. Okay - mind blown! This dish is cooked in a cream sauce with Angel Hair pasta, shrimp and crab meat, fresh Parmesan and Romano cheeses. You won't regret trying this place!

As usual you never disappoint. I brought 4 people with me just so they could agree your charbroiled oysters cannot be challenged anywhere else. The consensus was perfect. We are in the midst of pandemic season yet your customer service was phenomenal. I cannot say anything negative about our server James! He was so chill yet so great at what he does! James, thank you for treating us well, and even remembered it was my birthday. That young man will go far in his life for sure. Anyway Drago's, you did it again, and sure left a great taste in my mouth! Yum!

My buddy ordered the Drago's platter: the 1/3 of a lobster which he received had the amount of meat in a single crawfish tail, he told me the filet minion was dry and overcooked, and the corn tasted like it was from a can. The bad experience had nothing to do with the service, as our waiter James was attentive, patient, and polite. This place definitely doesn't live up to the hype I have heard.
MoreNot bad, not as good as everyone builds it up. I have been here a few times. The char-broiled oysters are good. Every time though, they are gritty. I am not sure if it is sand from the oysters and they need more cleaning. Or if it is from the grill. Service is always good.

I like the lobster with pasta and oysters, and it's a whole lobster. The char broiled oysters are delicious and I think years ago the sauce was a bit creamier. Everything is fresh and good, all the salads, pasta with seafood, fish, appetizers. Everything on the menu is worth eating. The desserts are huge, we usually share either the brownie sundae or apple pie a la mode. My family has dined at Dragos for decades, and when I was a vegan I wouldn't go, too tempting. Why did I quit veganism? Well, I was hungry! Do try the seafood and the fantastic wedge salad! Great staff.

Very good! I ordered (and pictured below) the pan seared chicken with spiral pasta. It was very flavorful and a good portion! My wife order twin petite filets. They were cooked perfectly and tasted good as well! Service was great! Would definitely go back if I was in the Metairie area again!!
MoreDrago's is fantastic. I'm sure everything on their menu is great. Unfortunately I'll never know because the char-grilled oysters are so amazing that I'm unable to try anything else on their menu. I live out of town so I'm not able to go enough to be adventurous. Some people like ACME's oysters better, some people like City Cafe's oysters better but Drago's is clearly in the discussion for best char-grilled oysters. Bring your appetite.

I know that it’s known for the grilled oysters but never had them, on the half shell they were good though. I ate here several times over a period of several months while doing a project in Metairie. Never had a bad meal but can’t say I was overwhelmed either. The fish special (Drum) was always the same, would have expected some variety.

Without any doubt this restaurant is the best for Oysters, better yet Charbroiled Oysters. I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting New Orleans. It was our first time there and we don’t regret it. Prices can be a lil high but food is great. Crab dip and pop boys was our other option after the Charbroiled Oysters. If you go to New Orleans you have to try this place. Waiter was awesome young man.
